Paul Van Dyk Remix Contest! Vote for Us to Win!!

Far Away - OUTER SUNSET remix (Vote for us!)

Hi my friends!

This is Leo from LFB. I work with another producer, Scott Brannon and we band as "OUTER SUNET" here in San Francisco.

We just entered our remix of Paul Van Dyk's "Far Away" in the exciting new Beatport.com Remix Contest.

Check out our entry and if you love it, give it a "spin"(which is like a vote) and feel free to leave a comment. The 15 most popular mixes along with the hand-picked 15 favorites of the Beatport staff get submitted to Paul Van Dyk and the winner will get the track signed to Paul's label VANDIT, and will be placed on Paul Van Dyk's next compilation.

It's trance and it's an awesome piece. Even if you are a house-head, or downtempo-groove-junkie, you'll still love the creativity, musicianship and production of our remix. Check it out.

Beatport is an incredible resource for buying dance, house, electro, downtempo and electronica tracks. If you have an account, you can vote on our mix. It's like iTUNES for Dance Music. Try it out.

We're proud of our work and are happy to share it with you.

Hi My Friends,

Well, it's been a busy seven days. Last Friday night at the End-UP in San Francisco, corner of 6th and Harrison, LFB paired with club promoters GLOBAL SF and put on an amazing show and performance!!! Capacity crowd, and a line that reached around the corner - OFF THE HOOK!

Global SF (www.myspace.com/globalsf) was invited to collaborate with GhettoDisco Night at the End-Up. Mikeeee Carriere and Caroline Lund asked us to perform about a month ago. We said yes, of course, that's what we do!

We put together a track medley of "Everywoman" sung by Kathleen Antonia (Who will record that song in tribute to founding member Jo-Carol this summer for our upcoming REMIX EP), the Fabulous SoulSistaShakti singing the downtempo stomper cover of "I Was Made For Loving You" courtesy of Sweet Feet Music, and Kathleen back at bat giving her signature performance of "Body Electric", and then followed with SoulSistaShakti tearing down the house with the remix version of "Working For Your Love". Caroline Lund performed 45 minutes later singing upcoming singles "Move Your Body" and "Stand By Me". Caroline and I worked on those songs recently and it was an honor to contribute our production skills to those tracks. (www.myspace.com/carolinelund)

More to report soon...

much love and have a loving weekend,

Club Video for the Mary J. Blige Remix

Hi my friends,

We are happy to say, we have a wonderful youTube video created for our LFB remix of "So Fine" by Mary J. Blige. It's a little slower than the audio version posted on MySpace www.myspace.com/leofrappierband, but it's nevertheless quite entertaining and fantastic. Kudos to Mikeee Carriere on his video editing skillz.

You can check it out here (hopefully, if we got the code right):

ENJOY!!!

and see us LIVE at GlobalSF on Friday May 23rd at the End-Up in San Francisco.

Mary J Blige Remix Opportunity

Opportunity to do a Remix for a Major Label Artist

MARY J BLIGE

Okay, here's the scoop. Mary J. Blige has an awesome design-artist and makeup-artist D'Andre, who is also a wonderful singer, artist, entertainer and has this voice that is the most compelling that anyone has every heard - you've heard it here...... Well, late last year he contacted me to do a remix of his upcoming single "All Around You (Circle of Life)" which is coming out later this spring.

We really rocked this remix, and it's coming out soon... okay?? THIS SONG WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD!!!! Well, he like us all, have a day job, and that is touring the world doing spectacular work as a design and makeup artist for Mary J Blige. He is her pal, and he played her my remix of his song. Mary J Blige Loved it!!!!!! She then had her business manager send LFB and a few other choice remixers the real original voals and tracks to do a "spec test remix" of "Just Fine" the most current single Mary J. has out there.

So......I got busy for a couple of weeks in late February and did a bang-up remix, that rocks.

Here's the "reality series" scoop....while the left hand was soliciting these remixes from me and twelve other remixers, the european arm of her label had already worked with Moto Blanco on a wonderful Neuvo-Disco remix, which was released out of out Europe and that remix took charge and got radio play on international dance radio.

So, the managment and the label (Geffen Records) were, well, let's take these remixes down to the final six (hello.....in there like swimwear!!), but let that cool mix by Moto just work this song "Just Fine"and then.....let's move on...work the dance floor with it....and move on to the next single..... which is....." TBA".

Kinda what labels do...make it a business decision. But from where we stood, other than getting the national "let's move on", we really decided it was seriously a "WIN" to get a major label artist like Mary J. Blige to hear our work and solicit a remix from us and then give us the nod to get it played out there.

So, that's where it is.....my friends......kind of in the ozone,,,,,, but it got played on many many many dance floors all around the world (!!!) while the minions were deciding what do do with the right hand who already had a hit european realease.

We're proud of the invitation and givng you the opportunity to here it here: www.myspace.com/leofrappierband

Have a great weekend!

hugs,
LEO

some more promo for the GOA CD

I don't think we mentioned that this compilation is for the prevention of cruelty to animals. Especially fur, and unnecessary testing. It's about the lounge and chill....but it's for a bigger cause.

Hopefully you support this as well.

More info on the Goa Chillout Zone Vol. 1 CD!!

Goa Chillout Zone Vol. 1 CD Launch Brings Together Best of Independent Music and Animal Rights Charities

W.O.A International releases compilation CD, percentage of sales go towards fight against the fur trade

Goa, India – January 25, 2008 – W.O.A International proudly announces the launch of the first volume in the Goa Chillout Zone CD collection. Comprising of 26 world artists from both the company’s record label W.O.A Records as well as unsigned acts, it’s an eclectic double CD bringing together some of the very best artists in independent music today. Best of all, it’s part of an extremely worthwhile cause at the same time.

“With this release, we’re not only bringing original and exciting music to the public,” says Wanda Alvares, Executive Vice President / Head of Marketing, “we’re also giving back to a cause we believe passionately in. For every CD sold, we will give 10% of the sale to a charity that supports animal welfare, especially animal rights groups that work against the fur trade.”

With the fur trade responsible for the torture and murder of over 50 million animals worldwide every year, purely for the benefit of fashion lovers, it’s a business that’s continuously in the news. W.O.A International recognizes that it’s something that won’t be changed overnight, but passionately believe that continued support in the fight against it will eventually win through.

The Goa Chillout Zone CD Vol. 1 is the first release in a planned five-volume collection. Bringing together the best that W.O.A International has to offer as well as unsigned independent artists worldwide, it includes the likes of Oliver Sean, Tiger Tiger and Cuca Moreno from W.O.A Records, as well as acts like Amy Duncan, Juliet Annerino and LFB (Leo Frappier Band).

Such has the pre-release interest been in the first volume that W.O.A International is already planning the second one, due for release in October 2008. Artists interested in appearing on Vol.2 are encouraged to submit their songs for submission onto the collection. With 10,000 copies being pressed and distributed to Yahoo Music and iTunes as well as retailers and radio stations worldwide, and top clubs at holiday destinations like Ibiza, Goa, etc, it’s an excellent opportunity for unsigned artists to be heard by large audiences. Each artist selected for the CD will receive royalties and licensing fees, as well as copies for promotion.

With the Goa Chillout Zone CD Vol.1 set to be a huge success for both artists and the chosen charity, and Vol.2 already in the planning stage, 2008 looks set to be a milestone year for W.O.A International. Buy the CD today and find out what all the noise is about.

Happy New Year!! - Podcast Interview with Leo Frappier - Jan/7/2008

Hi My Friends,

Hope your holidays (which seemed to go by quick this year, no(?) were
good! : ) Wishing you a Happy New Year and best wishes for a
wonderful 2008!!!

Wanted to share with you an eRadio interview I did Monday over the
phone to the East Coast regarding our LFB Music and talking some
personal stuff about my life, too.

Check out:

http://www.gorainbowradio.com/podcast/

I'm interviewed in Episode No. 82 - January 7th, 2008

There is a nice intro by host, Tim Corrimal of me, Leo and LFB (Leo
Frappier Band) and then some (very Fernando and Greg 92.7FM)
friendly campy-gay celebrity gossip for the first nine and a half
minutes or so, and then the MEAT of my interview with Tim of
www.GoRainbowRadio.com/podcast
at Nine Minutes, 40 seconds in (9:40 to end) ...You could easily
slide the fast forward to 9:40 and jump to our songs and interview! ;-)

It was so much fun, and I was honored to do so and kick off the New
Year with everybody!

With Warmest Wishes,
